Developing speaking skills
                 The ways to develop speaking skills are,
Reproduction exercises:
                    The teacher produces a sound and asks the students to reproduce it.It is done individually or in chorus. 
                    The teacher speaks words one by one.The students listen to him and reproduce those words one by one.
Question answer technique:
                     The teacher puts the question to the class one by one. The students give the answer appropriately.
                     Questions and answers may be between one student and other students.
Role play:
                     Dialogue situations may be produced and the students may be asked to play role of some character and indulge in dialogue.
                     The dialogue may be between a doctor and patient or a shopkeeper and buyer.
By showing chart or picture:
                      The teacher shows the picture or chart to the students in a classroom and the students are asked to speak on it one by one or they may be shown a film for a few minutes and then they are asked a few sentences about it.
By performing action:
                       The teacher performs actions and the students are asked to respond them.
By giving an outline of the story:
                       The students are asked to complete short stories that are finished partly by the teacher.
                    Pupils should speak the language in meaningful situations. There should be sufficient repetition and variety to fecilitate habit formation without creating boredom in the class. The practice in speaking may be started by the teacher with dialogue. For such a practice dialogues on simple, contextualized situations may be tried between pair of students.
